Victorious Effort of the Uncopywriter

woooohooooo!!! my first below-the-line idea has been approved =) i cannot describe how it feels to have the words, "wagi ka ngayon, knox!" said to me. i'm like a giddy little child at the moment, ignoring more work and sucking on strawberry candy.

this certainly gives me some much needed hope :) only yesterday, i was ready to throw in the towel and was considering telling Dr. K to transfer me to an agency asap! i was getting disenheartened because i wasn't getting to do any above-the-line work.

why am i set on doing above-the-line? i only really remembered why yesterday as i vehemently voiced it out to cj. it's because it is in above the line that i can inject some of my ideals. thematic advertising is a medium powerful enough to move people. i guess you can say that i want to create something that could impact the world even if in a small way. cj understood this and told me that i can move people through btl also. of course i took that to heart and proceeded to write a politically driven avp focusing on how are ugly country is slowly being transformed by a land developer (who shall be left unamed). no surprise. it was disapproved.

but. it allowed me to feel that surge of passion for a piece of work again- passion which i thought i had lost. in this business, you have to have passion or you will crumble and wither away. often times i have felt myself crumbling, stuck in this lonely cubicle 23 floors above society... secluded from the world for which i write for.
