I NAME YOU?/
My Macbook arrived three days ago and I've been busy playing around with it.
It's so sweet! I look at it and feel a sense of peace
I've been thinking about what to name this baby of mine.
At first, I was considering the name "SCRIBBLY" in honor of the company that gave me the sidelines to get this piece of equipment. But when it arrive, I fell inlove with it's exterior. I thought "IMMA" would be perfect to highlight its immaculate white state. However, I decided to scratch that. I don't think anything should be named for how it looks. That's like naming a girl, "Lovely" or "Girly". Most girls with that name rarely live up to expectation. My Macbook might develop low self-esteem issues once it starts getting scratched up... or worse, yellowing. Yuck! Hope that never happens. I have enough problems with this child of mine as it is. Right now, I actually might call it "PITA" ... as in Pain In The Ass. Why? Because it is, once I actually turn it on.
I should not have trusted the person who told me that transitioning from a PC to a MAC would be easy. He is after all, a writer for MPH. I, on the other hand am bordering on being computer illiterate. The other day, I was boasting about the features of this baby. I told a friend that it had a "60 gigs of ram", he promptly corrected me by saying "you mean 60 gigs of hdd". WTF?! Even after so much research, I still don't know the difference.
BUT! I will not see this as a setback. I think it's about time, I bring out my inner techie . Just wait and see, I shall bring to life the Mac freak in me!!!

i am a certified PC illiterate and a MAC addict. give it a few days and i promise you will fall in love with it!!! congratulations on your new baby!!!! :)

i have an iBookG4. it will be a year old this july 17th. it is still white, but i doubt if it is still immaculate. ok. things i love about the mac:
1. i don't have to defrag it. its super smart and it can heal itself. go to ur applications and utilities are there. click on First Aid. it will check on the things needed to be repaired and it will do it on its own. you can do this kahit once a month lang.
2. you just click and drag!! unlike PC (yuck.) where u have to go control v or c all the time you can just drag your things to wherever you want it to be. what else can be simpler!!!
3. ur expose will help you a lot, especially if you like multi-tasking you get to see ALL the programs that you are working on right away. so u can like watch dvds AND do ur reports at the same time. even in work!! hehe.
4. it's super clean to look at. there's no start thingy. u can just put all your usual programs in ur dock and the rest hidden away. and u can also choose to hide everything!!
5. you can sync your palm or ur phone using iSync (duh.) so all birthdays in ur AddressBook (in ur MAC) u can upload in ur phone. i'm oc with my contacts in my phone so it really helps me a lot.
ok. i can just go on and on and on and on but this is too long. i'm pretty sure you would enjoy it. di ba obvious that i do? :)
