INITIAL VIEWING

As of date, there is nothing to match the ecstacy of the "initial viewing" of a damn good film. Its watching a film that has the power to leave you feeling alive. It's as though by seeing this film, you brought out a part of yourself, a part you had been totally unaware off. The latest film that had this impact on me was "Dogville" by Lars Von Trier. However these are some other recommeneded greats:

1) American Beauty
2) Battle Royale
3) The Princess and the Warrior
4) Remember the Titans
5) Moulin Rouge
6) Wong Kar Wai Films
7) Requiem for A Dream (actually this made me feel like dying, but in a good way!)

I'm not saying that these are award winning or groundbreaking films. They're just some films that have affected me in such a powerful way. It's a very intimate and personal thing to watch a film- like something mysterious slowly unveiling itself scene after scene until it reveals its naked intention. Sensual to say the least but ultimately climactic if the film lives up to its promises. Watch them and experience it yourself!
